Description
Did you know that the first steam-powered, self-propelled vehicle in the United States was designed and operated by Rev. Dr. J.W. Carhart of Racine? Learn about Racine's place in automotive history with special emphasis on Mitchell. This program will be presented by Allison Barr, Assistant Director and Curator of the Racine Heritage Museum. After the presentation, head to Brewed Omen (120 N Main St, Suite L40, Hartford, WI 53027) for an informal "afterglow" where program attendees will enjoy a 20% discount. Special tickets to be used as proof of attendance will be distributed at the end of the presentation. This program is a part of the museum's 2025/2026 speaker series. This series is brought to you in part by Central States Insurance, Forte Bank, and the Wisconsin Society of Automotive Historians.
